Sensor Tower Pricing: What It Actually Costs in 2026

Sensor Tower doesn't publish prices. Reported contracts run $30K–$150K/yr per Vendr. What drives quotes, demo questions, and cheaper self-serve tools.

Sensor Tower does not publish prices. Its pricing page shows no tiers, no numbers, and one line: "We customize pricing plans for each customer — get in touch to find your perfect fit." The public data that does exist comes from procurement platforms and buyer reviews. Vendr (accessed August 2026) reports a median Sensor Tower contract of $75,000 per year across 40 recorded purchases, with most deals between roughly $30,000 and $150,000. Those are reported figures, not official prices. Everything verifiable is below, plus self-serve alternatives that start at $9.99 a month.

The official position: sales-led, quote-only

Sensor Tower sells through demos and custom quotes. There is no public rate card and, per GetAppNiche's 2026 pricing guide, no self-serve trial — "evaluation starts with sales." The free blog reports and top-charts data Sensor Tower publishes are marketing, not product access.

The quote-only model got more weight in March 2024, when Sensor Tower acquired data.ai (formerly App Annie), consolidating the two largest app-market intelligence vendors into one. TechCrunch reported data.ai had about $100 million in annual recurring revenue at the time. Former data.ai customers were migrated onto Sensor Tower's platform and its custom-quote pricing.

Reported price ranges — clearly labeled

None of the following comes from Sensor Tower. Each figure is attributed to its source and date.

Two caveats. First, procurement-platform data skews toward companies large enough to use a procurement platform; the true floor may differ. Second, contracts are negotiated — GetAppNiche notes buyer reviews describe "meaningful movement between initial quote and final price."

What drives the quote

Per GetAppNiche's breakdown, five variables move the number:

  • Modules. App performance insights, store/ASO intelligence, and ad intelligence are packaged and priced separately. Each added module raises the contract.
  • Seats. More users, higher cost.
  • Data scope. Global country coverage costs more than one or two markets.
  • API access. Priced separately from dashboard seats, scaled to rate limits and usage.
  • Contract length and negotiation. Multi-year terms and quarter-end timing change outcomes.

Questions to ask in the demo

If you take the sales call, get these answered in writing:

  1. Which modules are in this quote, and what does each cost to add mid-contract?
  2. How are seats priced — and is there a cheaper view-only seat?
  3. Which countries are included? What does each additional market cost?
  4. How far back does historical data go on this tier?
  5. Is API access included? At what rate limits, and what does more cost?
  6. What is the renewal uplift, and can it be capped in the contract?
  7. For former data.ai users: which module replaces each feature you relied on?
  8. Is there a downgrade path at renewal, or only expansion?

The answers define your real multi-year cost better than the year-one number does.

Self-serve options with published prices

If the budget is closer to $1,000 a year than $75,000, the alternatives below publish prices. All figures from vendor pricing pages, as listed in August 2026. Note the category difference: these are ASO, analytics, and review tools. None offers a market-estimate panel at Sensor Tower's scale — that is what the enterprise premium buys.

Tool Entry paid plan Annual option Free option
Appfigures Connect, $9.99/mo $7.99/mo Free tier
MobileAction Lite, $15/mo $12.50/mo 7-day trial; free Apple Ads CMP tier
AppFollow ASO, $19/mo billed yearly Free plan, 2 apps
ASOMobile Indie, $59/mo $47/mo Free plan, 20 keywords
AppTweak Essential, $79/mo $949/yr 7-day trial

Upper self-serve tiers stay under enterprise territory: AppTweak Grow Plus is $549/mo ($6,590/yr), Appfigures Amplify is $1,399.99/mo, ASOMobile Maximum is $299/mo. Even the most expensive of these — roughly $16,800 a year for Appfigures' top tier — sits below Vendr's reported Sensor Tower low of about $29,500.

The honest framing: if you need defensible download and revenue estimates for a board deck or an M&A process, Sensor Tower is the incumbent and priced like one. If you need to run ASO, watch competitors, and manage reviews for your own portfolio, the tools above cover most of that workload at 1–5% of the reported cost.

Questions, answered.

How much does Sensor Tower cost?

Sensor Tower does not publish prices. According to procurement platform Vendr (accessed August 2026), the median reported contract is $75,000 per year, with most deals between roughly $30,000 and $150,000. These are reported figures, not official ones.

Does Sensor Tower have a free plan or trial?

Its pricing page shows no tiers or free plan, and GetAppNiche's 2026 guide reports there is no self-serve trial — evaluation starts with a sales call. Sensor Tower's free blog reports are marketing content, not product access.

Can you negotiate Sensor Tower pricing?

Reportedly yes. GetAppNiche's guide notes buyer reviews describe meaningful movement between the initial quote and the final price, driven by modules, seats, country coverage, API limits, and contract length.

What are cheaper alternatives with published pricing?

As listed in August 2026: Appfigures from $9.99/mo, MobileAction from $15/mo, AppFollow from $19/mo billed yearly, ASOMobile from $59/mo, and AppTweak from $79/mo. They cover ASO, analytics, and reviews, but not a market-estimate panel at Sensor Tower's scale.
